                                    BASED ORGANIZATION IN UMPQUA

aith Lutheran ELCA has been named the first Blue Zones Project
FApproved™ Faith-based organization in the Umpqua Valley, an
honor that recognizes Faith Lutheran’s commitment to the wellbeing
of their members and the community as a whole. Blue Zones Project
Organization Lead, John Dimof, presented the program in May, inspir-
ing many church members to get involved.

Over the last few months, Faith Lutheran created a Wellness Committee
selected and implemented best-practices from the Worksite Pledge,
with the goal of increasing the health and well-being of their members.
“It makes perfect sense for Faith Lutheran Church to become a Blue
Zones Project Approved Church since we already have a good number
of people working on becoming physically healthier. The Project focuses
on many aspects of well-being, all of which we are called by God to
faithfully steward. We are very excited to be an Approved Church in the
Roseburg community,” says Jane Baker, Pastor of Faith Lutheran ELCA.
