        ROGUE VALLEY MICRODEVICES

        POTENTIAL LIFE-CHANGING FUNCTIONALITY

Rogue Valley Microdevices, located in Medford, is one of the few foundries in the
world nimble enough to work with nanoscale materials. Its CEO, Jessica Gomez,
says the company has recently partnered with two companies that use nanoscale
        technology for biomedical applications.

Though much of what the company does is far more technical than the average person would understand, this is clear: “…technology [that] has
the potential to dramatically advance the ways in which the healthcare industry assesses cancerous tumors. A technology platform easy to use,
accessible, and, removing the established barriers to gaining potentially life-saving or life-enhancing information.” Through continued research
and appropriate partnerships, this goal comes closer to realization.

On a side note, Jessica is campaigning for the District 3 seat in the Oregon State Senate to replace retiring Senator Alan DeBoer from Ashland.
Gomez plans to marry her progressive outlook on social issues with the fiscally conservative views to which she adheres as a business owner. “I
will also advocate for environmental integrity, cultural diversity and the alleviation of poverty among our most vulnerable populations,” she adds.
