The Production was shot in and around the
region and included Klamath Falls. Part of
the filming involved shooting scenes inside a
cramped airstream motorhome with cast and
crew. While the exterior was shoot from an
actual motorhome, the interior was recreated and
designed inside a warehouse by local Production
Designer, Dave Marshall. The design project took
over four weeks and resulted in an ingenious and
realistic air stream interior that allowed the film-
ing of scenes which otherwise would not have been
possible.
The story is a comedy about the relationship of two
aging friends questioning their life direction during
a midlife transition. After quitting their jobs, they
decide to purchase and renovate a dilapidated bowl-
ing alley and serve the “world’s best pizza.”
To promote the film, the production crew trave-
led across the continent in two large RVs over
ten weeks and made over sixty stops to showcase
the movie. The film, Phoenix, Oregon was released
nationwide in theaters earlier this year, and JOMA
Films is already starting to plan for their next film
shoot while they continue to “live and work as
filmmakers” in our region.
