KRISSY MILLNER moved to Southern Oregon with
her husband Mark from San Francisco IN 1993 to MAHAR HOMES
start their business, Terra Firma. She began doing
interiors in San Francisco and has been using her INC
talents for homes, boutique hotels as well as com-
mercial projects. Krissy has embraced the beauty of
the Northwest and melds city style sophistication

STEVE BOYARSKY is a retired educator who has
called Southern Oregon his home for more than 40
years. Steve was a high school biology teacher in
Medford schools and a superintendent at Southern
Oregon Education Service District. He has worked
for Southern Oregon University as director of
ACADEMY and College-High programs and taught
in the Education Administration program. Building
the Southern Oregon community is a focus for
Steve. He serves on several non-profit boards and
writes a monthly column for the Mail Tribune. Since
retirement he has developed a passion for fly fishing
and playing drums in the rock band, Double Life.
PAMELA GIBSON is an event planner and the owner
of Sweetbriar Events located in Southern Oregon.
Her true passions are both designing memorable
events and writing with illuminating words. Gibson
grew up in the Middle East and Europe and appre-
ciates beauty and diversity. Southern Oregon has
lent itself to a stunning backdrop and the diversity
that she found abroad. In her spare time, she enjoys
spending time with her family and friends explor-

VALERIE COULMAN is a writer and artist based in
the beautiful Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon. She New Homes
writes for a variety of adult and children’s publications,
including three award-winning picture books that have
been translated into seven different languages for Middlefork Creek
young readers around the globe. Along with her art-
work, Valerie also teaches writing and art skills through Southeast Medford
schools and conferences both in Canada and the U.S.,
