MARIGNY GOODYEAR
Marigny Goodyear, with a studio located in Talent, launched her
professional art career in the fall of 2016 and has already been
published in Emboss Magazine, featured on abstractartist.com,
and interviewed for both the Talent and Medford News and Review.
Goodyear utilizes cut paper to create patterns on canvas and panels,
creating the foundation on which to build abstract paintings. Her
paintings start with clear patterns and/or shapes and are then painted
over with free moving color and composition. Seemingly contradic-
tory to the original patterns, her paintings are true to the nature of life,
which is unpredictable and messy at times. Goodyear has been refining
this particular technique for 4 years and has practiced since she was a
child. When not in her studio, you will find her in the ocean, on her
bike, hiking the trails, or just basking in the sunshine.
