IN SCHOOL SAVINGS PROGRAM
Each student branch • Introduce the economic concept of savings early and reinforce this idea
is designed to: throughout the curriculum.
• Demonstrate that savings should be a part of a student’s personal
finance plan for the future.
• Increase parental involvement through savings and banking activity.
How the school Tellers at each location are trained and supervised by their partner financial
branches operate institutions. Each year students will have the opportunity to be part of a new
teller group at each location. Students are encouraged to save each week
and after reaching set savings goals students receive incentives. The tellers
learn important skills they can put on their resumes, creating experience for
future job prospects.
The Omaha Center for Economic Education was pleased to partner with
New schools and Nebraska financial institutions on two new branch openings in Nebraska
financial institution schools. The Nebraska Council on Economic Education was also able to
sponsors in 2019 partner with Adams Bank & Trust to open a new branch, bringing our total
to 29 In School Savings locations throughout the state.

• Holy Name Catholic School partnered with Dundee Bank
• All Saints Catholic Schools partnered with Dundee Bank
