DISTRICT SECRETARIAT
DISTRICT SECRETARY – COMMUNICATIONS
• Maintain and co-ordinate the regular update and the use of the district electronic media and the official mailing list.
• Disseminate official news of clubs, district and RI via the electronic media regularly and as directed by the DG.
• Prepare and maintain a regularly updated mailing list of all Rotarians in the district.
• Carry out other duties as may be requested by DG.
DISTRICT SECRETARY – DISTRICT EVENTS/SEMINARS
• To monitor all District events (liaise with host clubs and District Committee Chairs except for Youth Service events)
• To be involved and monitor the appointed OCs and report the progress of the District events to DG/EXCO
DISTRICT SECRETARY -DISASTER RELIEF
• Initiate financial relief in the event of disaster in the District
• Publicize the disaster and to seek and co-ordinate donations from Rotarians and Clubs
DISTRICT SECRETARY –YOUTH AFFAIRS
• To monitor all District Youth events (liaise with host clubs and District Committee Chairs)
• To liaise with District Rotaract and Interact Chairs and Youth Service Directors
• To ensure trainings for Youth leaders at District events such as DRA, DIC and RYLA adhere to proper standards
• To encourage and promote attendance of the youths at District Youth events.
• To represent DG at any youth activities if DG is unable to attend.
DISTRICT SECRETARY – PUBLICATIONS
• Serve as Editor/Chairman of the Governor’s Newsletter Editorial Committee and Handbook
• Receive news and articles and collate them for publication in the monthly Newsletter.
• Prepare, publish and distribute the Governor’s Newsletter on a monthly basis
