                                       Synopsis of South Africa History

        A. Epochs

We have conceptualized and presented this work within the frame work of
three epochs of South Africa History, namely:

            1. Pre-Colonial
            2. Colonial

            3. Liberation Dawn

            1. With regards to the Pre-Colonial Era overwhelming body of historical

sources and evidence confirm that the San/ Zan Aborigenese pioneered
the conceptualization, adoption and implementation of a Model of
Civilized Human Conduct that today is characterized as Human
               Civilization.
(This epoch played out for plus two million years up to the eve of

               Colonialism)

            2. The Colonial era is obviously an entirely recorded era, of more limited
duration and a far more recent phenomenon.
(This epoch lasted for 342 years i.e. Begun on 6th. April 1652 and Ended
               on 27th. April 1994.)
            3. Liberation Dawn can be characterized as contemporary.

(This epoch is now at its 3rd decade)

        Pre Colonial Era

It is important to remind ourselves that South Africa in Pre Colonial times

existed as geographical and human activity space and not as Sovereign
        Entity.
In reality therefore we are dealing with histories of multiple sovereigns and
not a single history as such.
Hence our focus on footprints that lead us to predominant actors who have
        left a discernible legacy trail.

The Zan Aborigese foot print was the largest of them all, not only in the
geographic space that we now known as South Africa, but also globally and
for a sustained period of time, lasting plus two million years.

Of course the Khoi Khoi and Abantu people were two other significant actors.
