spek and pocketed it. She shook her head and mechanically left the room.
She pondered, yet again, giving up peacemongering and heading for the Bahamas. Then the girls announced a triple Spectrom viewing of Fantasia in the living room. Cathy wandered in, barely able to pay attention. Water lilies and irises began to dance around the room to beautiful music. The girls were enchanted and began prancing with the flower specters. Cathy stayed glum even when a tulip twirled a pirouette in her lap.
Her mood was reinforced when the room began filling with water. Mickey Mouse, in his role of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, had lost control of the magic. A crescendo of oboe music ominously climaxed.
Eventually, Disney’s fantastic genius began to have an effect. When a hippopotamus wearing a tutu asked her to dance, she began to smile her wide, slow-forming smile.
