Entrance Examinations
Our main entry points are 11+, 13+ and 16+. Please contact the Admissions Team if you wish to enquire about other entry points.
Entrance at 11+ (Year 7)
Candidates for entry to Year 7 of the Senior School are required to sit an entrance examination consisting of:
1. A Mathematics test
2. An English test
3. A computer based ability test
4. A short interview with a senior member of staff
About two weeks after the examination all candidates are invited for a short interview. However, where performance in the entrance examination is deemed worthy of consideration for a scholarship, this will take the form of a scholarship interview and a day at school, for which a separate invite will be issued. There is no separate scholarship examination.
Entrance at 13+ (Year 9)
Candidates for entry to Year 9 of the Senior School are required to sit an entrance examination consisting of:
1. A Mathematics test
2. An English test
3. A verbal reasoning test
4. A French or German or Spanish test
5. A Science test
6. Candidates may also take an optional Latin test
7. A short interview with a senior member of staff on the day of the examinations
General Information for 11+ and 13+
On the basis of these entrance tests and interviews, offers will be made for entrance, usually within four weeks of the entrance examination (including scholarship offers). All candidates will be considered for a scholarship. There is no separate scholarship examination.

Ability test papers can be purchased from good book shops or online. There is also a familiarisation test for 11+ candidates available online (details can be found on our school website www.warwickschool.org/entrance-examinations).
Entrance examinations for 11+ and 13+ for September 2021 entry will take place on Saturday 16 January 2021. For other key dates please visit the school website.
Entry to the Sixth Form
Candidates wishing to apply from outside the school will be expected to meet the criteria for entry to the Sixth Form and will be required to attend interviews with senior members of staff.
