Red Nose Day ⏐ Comic Relief
The Junior School celebrated Red Nose Day on Friday, 19 March. Rather than bringing in red noses, this year boys were invited to wear an item of red clothing as part of their uniform for the day.
Boys wore items such as red ties, socks or shirts and they each made a donation of £2. The figure raised
for the Comic Relief charity was £603. A big
thank you to everyone who took part.

World Book Day
Many thanks to all the boys who took part in our World Book Day celebrations this year. Clearly many boys have some great dressing up boxes available!
                         Year 5 ⏐ Guitar Ensemble
After many weeks of making music over Teams, the boys in Year 5 have been enjoying being part of a live ensemble under the directorship of Mrs Knott.
Above and below are some examples of how staff and boys participated and dressed up for their online form period.

Computing Challenge 2021
Twelve of our Year 6 boys recently took part in the first round of this international challenge, having scored in the top 10% nationally in the preliminary Bebras Challenge.
We are delighted to announce that Thomas Cox did extremely well and has been invited to the Finals later this month; he is one of only 20 finalists in his age group, which covers both Year 6 and Year 7 pupils, and his achievement is exceptional. We wish him the very best of luck. Many congratulations also to Alex Moriarty who gained a Distinction and to Edward Clarke and Lucas Court who were both awarded Merits.

As 'Dr Freddie' (pictured right) prescribed, the return to school proved to be a shot in the arm for all our school community.
The sun shone on our first day back and there was a genuine feeling of happiness and optimism as the boys returned.
