Energy Conservation and Performance Improvement
The Property Department recognises that our building premises are the chief consumers of energy in our portfolio. As our carbon emissions footprint is directly correlated to our energy consumption, energy e ciency is a crucial element of our asset management strategy and in the sustainable growth of our portfolio.
Our four step process to achieving and maintaining energy e ciency across our portfolio includes:
Energy Audits to Set Performance Indicators
To better manage our energy use, we launched a 3-year Club-wide energy audit programme starting from 2012/13. These audits helped us establish a set of performance indicators to facilitate a management prioritisation programme based on an “energy hierarchy” concept. This hierarchy helps us to best optimise our existing resources.
