The District Cooling System (DCS) achieves higher e ciency compared with local air- conditioning systems for each stable with more than 40% reduction of energy consumption as measured. We share our experiences with stakeholders through various channels.
Alongside energy savings data, the Club adopted a KPI approach to determine the energy intensity of our operations. The variety of our facilities in terms of use and operational characteristics precludes the use of a single metric for energy intensity. An internal study was conducted to identify the best metrics for each of our operational categories. The outcomes of this study are the following Performance Measurement Metrics:
Property Categories
Corporate kWh/m2/yr Racecourses kWh/m2hr/yr Retails kWh/m2hr/yr
Performance Measurement Metric
Residential (Common Area)
kWh/residential ats occupied
Remark: m2hr refers to air-conditioned areas x operation hours
These Performance Measurement Metrics provide the Property Department with performance indicators for our facilities that consider the unique characteristics of our varied operations.
Building Performance Certi cations and Awards
Green building certi cations help us benchmark and monitor our building sustainability performance. Property encourages our project teams to pursue certi cations and awards, particularly for our new projects.
Our SCTC project achieved BEAM Plus Gold Certi cation in the New Buildings Category and was o cially awarded Gold Certi cation under the LEED New Construction 2009 standard. SCTC has achieved 66 overall credits for the LEED New Construction 2009 Standard, exceeding the Gold requirement by 10%.
