Our Progress
This graph demonstrates our e orts to reduce electricity consumption since our baseline year of 2009/10.
The Property Department projected a signi cant rise in the incremental load, or electricity consumption (red line), due to an expected expansion of our property portfolio, the addition of IT equipment, and the enlargement of kitchen and air-conditioned areas in our venues. Despite this forecast, thanks to our energy e ciency measures, our billing data shows that our actual electricity consumption decreased from the baseline year (blue line). The slight increase in electricity consumption in 2014/15 is arose from the development of our newest building, SCTC. Our energy e ciency measures have resulted in an accumulative savings of approximately 20 GWh in comparison to a business as usual (baseline) scenario for the 2014/15 year.
