Compensation
The Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) unanimously approved the following
stipend levels for academic year 2021. These levels will be effective for all trainees in
residency/fellowship programs based at:

 UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh
 UPMC Hamot
 UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital
 UPMC Mercy
 UPMC Presbyterian
 VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System

PGY 4 $65,900.80
PGY 5 $68,207.33
PGY 6 $70,594.58
PGY 7 $73,065.39
PGY 8 $75,622.68

The following salaries will be effective for Family Medicine residents at:

 UPMC Altoona
 UPMC McKeesport
 UPMC Shadyside
 UPMC St. Margaret
 UPMC Susquehanna

The rates will also be effective for Internal Medicine residents at UPMC McKeesport and
residents based at UPMC Horizon.
