“All-conquering Parkside mauled top three contender Hoppers Crossing by 79 points in the mud at
Hogans Road Oval.
Priest Medal fancy Denis Ryan was in sizzling form with eight goals after being bed-ridden with the
'flu in the lead-up to the big game.
Other good players included Waled Abouzeid, Ali Taleb, Ahmed Taleb, Ahmed Houli, Sam Cukovic
and Paul Burgess.
Injured playing coach Phil O'Keeffe said his players were switched on from the first bounce of the
game.
"The boys were determined to play well — you could see it in their eyes," he said.
"It was one of the very, good wins the club's had, no doubt about that."

form Seddon-Yarraville Club at Merv Hughes Oval.
It was a forgettable day for vanquished playing coach Keith Royston, one of the most inspirational
footballers to pull on a boot in the league in the past decade.
