country at hand also is a major factor. Some countries are quick to start war, while others choose to remain idle until necessary. This has culminated in the Middle Eastern conflict with Israel and Hamas trading bombings, killings, and shootings. Lastly, the documents and framework that make up a country’s background and government play a key role in war. Constitutions that are the backbone of governments have written rules on when to enter and how to act. Peace treaties in the past can be seen as unbreakable and therefore it is hard to come to peace with other countries if it goes against it. Plans by the government or the person in power can change frequently or by term and therefore the government can change their viewpoint and that can upset other countries and other officials. In conclusion, there are many different reasons for entering war, but Israel and the Hamas seem to cover almost every reason known.
Hamas has constantly undermined diplomatic efforts with Israel. They pushed into and overtook the government in Palestine. Once in power, they blocked peace with Israel and constantly attacked the country with terroristic approaches. After doing so, they lacked the desire and the reasoning for bargain. They never had any initiative to sign peace treaties or to call for meetings of peace due to their desire of land and lastly, their need for this territory pushed them to hate the Israelis even more for owning it. Hamas became the sworn enemy of all Israelis and the Gaza Strip became the battle. Deciding how best to deal with Hamas requires understanding its nature and role on the Palestinian scene, where Islamism has been an integral and expanding part of the political landscape for at least half a century. The best and surest course would be to mobilize real pressure on Hamas to join the mainstream by closing down its military wing, or risk becoming increasingly vulnerable and irrelevant.
