“It doesn't matter. I have a score to settle with you, you little traitor.”
I used one of my spells to bring us to the “Lunar Arena.” Even though on Earth, my family has no social status to speak of, we come from a long line of great ancient deities and the “Lunar Arena” is one of our sacred grounds. Though we like to keep all of this a secret, so hush.
“Where are we? What did you do? How did you do it?” Kanna asked.
“Don’t worry I just teleported us to one of my family’s arenas,” I said. “It’s time for me to get rid of you once and for all! I would suggest you transform.”
“How do you know about my released state?”
“Please, you come from a long line of mages, of course, you have a released state.” “No matter, I will crush you, transformed or not.”
“I wouldn’t say that to the girl who outclassed you.”
“Just shut up and let me transform!”
“Oh, burning flames I call upon thee, that my body may become your fuel and grant me the power I desire so that I may be unmatched in firepower. May your smoke and ashes cover me and protect me. I call upon thee, Ash Dress.”
A cloud of smoke and ashes formed covering Kanna and transforming her into her released state. Kanna transformed into a fire Tigris. A powerful half-human, half-tiger demi-human. Her look completely changed from a happy bubbly bubble-gum doll to an intense dark Tigris like the sun.
“I think it’s my turn to transform,” I said.
“Oh great galaxy above, heed my call, and manifest. May your century-old sleep be disturbed, and may your allies a yonder help me get stronger, may your infinite knowledge help me grow, eternal cloke be uncovered, so help me ancestors above and may your shining children protect me, and may your dark children aid in cloaking me in your wisdom and defend me with your strength give me the key to open what has been shut for so long and unlock my true power now unleash and release my shackles, Star Dress.”
A nebula of stars surrounded me and transformed me into a cosmic wolf.
“W-What are you?” Kanna screamed.
“The end of your foolish plans. Now come take me on!” I yelled back.
Kanna attacked me head-on doing everything she could to end me. Everything she knew from
first grade spells to forbidden magic. She had tried but nothing worked. “Time to end this, Kanna!”
I used a restraint spell to keep Kanna in one place.
“Oh, Cosmos above, grant me a weapon to strike down my enemy with precision and grace, I beckon thee to manifest in my hand the bow that struck down the heavens Archieskelia manifest.”
A powerful bow appeared in my hand and with one shot, I ended Kanna. I made myself invisible and erased Kanna from everyone’s memories. I made sure the government officials forgot everything that Kanna suggested, so that the government would be de-corrupted. Then I went back to school like nothing happened. I performed a spell to remove my ash hands but kept my nickname in memory of Kanna.
*Time skip back to present-day*
Ok, maybe things were not so simple back then, but I am happy all this happened because I really did grow as a mage and as a person. I do go by Ash or Ashes now. Everyone has forgotten my real name. To be honest, I am kind of happy people forgot my name. I did not like it too much. The name describes me perfectly, but I prefer my nickname. Oh, and about my dream. I want to be the highest military officer and the most powerful. I want to be the leader of the “Mage’s Special Ops” and fight for my country. I
