vnto your fathers, the Lord hath brought you shall destroy them with a mightie destruction,
out by a mightie hand, and deliuered you out of vntill they be brought to naught. 24 And he shall
the house of bondage from the hand of Pharaoh deliuer their Kings into thine hand, and thou
                             9
King of Egypt, That thou mayest knowe, that the shalt destroy their name from vnder heauen:
Lord thy God, he is God, the faithfull God which there shall no man be able to stand before thee,
keepeth couenant and mercie vnto them that vntill thou hast destroyed them. 25 The grauen
loue him and keepe his commandements, euen to images of their gods shall ye burne with fire,
a thousand generations, 10 And rewardeth them and couet not the siluer and golde, that is on
to their face that hate him, to bring them to de- them, nor take it vnto thee, least thou be snared
struction: he wil not deferre to reward him that therewith: for it is an abomination before the
hateth him, to his face. 11 Keepe thou therefore Lord thy God. 26 Bring not therefore abomination
the commandements, and the ordinances, and into thine house, lest, thou be accursed like it, but
the lawes, which I commaund thee this day to vtterly abhorre it, and count it most abominable:
doe them. 12 For if ye hearken vnto these lawes, for it is accursed.
and obserue and doe them, then the Lord thy
God shall keepe with thee the couenant, and the 8
mercie which he sware vnto thy fathers. 13 And 1 Ye shall keepe all the commandements which
he wil loue thee, and blesse thee, and multiplie I command thee this day, for to doe them: that
thee: he will also blesse the fruite of thy wombe, ye may liue, and be multiplied, and goe in, and
and the fruite of thy land, thy corne and thy wine, possesse the land which the Lord sware vnto your
and thine oyle and the increase of thy kine, and fathers. 2 And thou shalt remember all ye way
the flockes of thy sheepe in the land, which he which the Lord thy God led thee this fourtie yeere
sware vnto thy fathers to giue thee. 14 Thou shalt in the wildernesse, for to humble thee and to
beblessedaboueallpeople: thereshallbeneither proue thee, to knowe what was in thine heart,
male nor female barren among you, nor among whether thou wouldest keepe his commande-
your cattell. 15 Moreouer, the Lord will take away ments or no. 3 Therefore he humbled thee, and
from thee all infirmities, and will put none of made thee hungry, and fed thee with MAN, which
the euill diseases of Egypt (which thou knowest) thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know
vpon thee, but wil send them vpon all that hate it, that he might teache thee that man liueth
thee. 16 Thou shalt therefore consume all people not by bread onely, but by euery worde that
which the Lord thy God shall giue thee: thine proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord, doth
eye shall not spare them, neither shalt thou serue a man liue. 4 Thy raiment waxed not olde vpon
their gods, for that shalbe thy destruction. 17 If thee, neither did thy foote swell those fourtie
                                                                         5
thou say in thine heart, These nations are moe yeeres. Knowe therefore in thine heart, that as
then I, how can I cast them out? 18 Thou shalt not a man nourtereth his sonne, so the Lord thy God
                                                                                  6
feare them, but remember what the Lord thy God nourtereth thee. Therefore shalt thou keepe the
did vnto Pharaoh, and vnto all Egypt: 19 The great commandements of the Lord thy God, that thou
tentations which thine eyes sawe, and the signes mayest walke in his wayes, and feare him. 7 For

be destroyed. 21 Thou shalt not feare them: for shalt eate bread without scarcitie, neither shalt
the Lord thy God is among you, a God mightie thou lacke any thing therein: a land whose stones
and dreadful. 22 And the Lord thy God wil roote are yron, and out of whose mountaines thou
