               the elder.  27 Fulfill seuen yeeres for her, and we another sonne.  13 Then sayde Leah, Ah, blessed
               wil also giue thee this for the seruice, which thou am I, for the daughters will blesse me. and she
               shalt serue me yet seuen yeeres more.    28  Then called his name, Asher.   14  Nowe Reuben went
               Iaakob did so, and fulfilled her seuen yeeres, so  in the dayes of the wheateharuest, and founde
               he gaue him Rahel his daughter to be his wife.    mandrakes in the fielde and brought them vnto
               29  Laban also gaue to Rahel his daughter Bilhah  his mother Leah. Then sayde Rahel to Leah,
               his mayde to be her seruant.  30 So entred he in to  Giue me, I pray thee, of thy sonnes mandrakes.
               Rahel also, and loued also Rahel more then Leah,  15  But shee answered her, Is it a small matter
               and serued him yet seuen yeeres more.   31  When  for thee to take mine husband, except thou take
               the Lord saw that Leah was despised, he made      my sonnes mandrakes also? Then sayde Rahel,
               her fruitful: but Rahel was barren.  32  And Leah  Therefore he shall sleepe with thee this night
               conceiued and bare a sonne, and she called his for thy sonnes mandrakes.      16  And Iaakob came
               name Reuben: for she said, Because the Lord       from the fielde in the euening, and Leah went
               hath looked vpon my tribulation, now therefore    out to meete him, and sayde, Come in to mee,
               mine husband will loue me.  33 And she conceiued  for I haue bought and payed for thee with my
               againe and bare a sonne, and sayde, Because the   sonnes mandrakes: and he slept with her that
               Lord heard that I was hated, he hath therefore           17
               giuen me this sonne also, and she called his      night.   And God heard Leah and shee conceiued,
               name Simeon.    34  And she conceiued againe and  and bare vnto Iaakob the fift sonne.  18 Then said
               bare a sonne, and said, Now at this time wil my   Leah, God hath giuen me my reward, because I
               husband keepe mee company, because I haue         gaue my mayde to my husband, and she called his

               borne him three sonnes: therefore was his name    name Issachar.    After, Leah conceiued againe,

               called Leui.  35  Moreouer shee conceiued againe  and bare Iaakob the sixt sonne.      Then Leah
                                                                 said, God hath endued me with a good dowrie:
               and bare a sonne, saying, Nowe will I prayse the  nowe will mine husband dwell with me, because
               Lord: therefore shee called his name Iudah, and   I haue borne him sixe sonnes: and she called
               left bearing.                                     his name Zebulun.    21  After that, shee bare a

                                                                 God remembred Rahel, and God heard her, and
                  1  And when Rahel saw that she bare Iaakob     opened her wombe.      23  So she conceiued and
               no children, Rahel enuied her sister, and said    bare a sonne, and said, God hath taken away
               vnto Iaakob, Giue me children, or els I dye. my rebuke.       24  And shee called his name Ioseph,
               2  Then Iaakobs anger was kindled against Rahel, saying, The Lord wil giue me yet another sonne.
               and he sayde, Am I in Gods steade, which hath     25 And assoone as Rahel had borne Ioseph, Iaakob
               withholden from thee the fruite of the wombe? said to Laban, Sende me away that I may go
               3  And she said, Behold my maide Bilhah, goe in vnto my place and to my countrey.      26  Giue me
               to her, and she shall beare vpon my knees, and my wiues and my children, for whom I haue
               I shall haue children also by her.  4  Then shee serued thee, and let me go: for thou knowest
               gaue him Bilhah her mayde to wife, and Iaakob what seruice I haue done thee.         27  To whom
               went in to her.  5  So Bilhah conceiued and bare Laban answered, If I haue nowe found fauour in

               Iaakob a sonne. Then said Rahel, God hath giuen thy sight tarie: I haue perceiued that the Lord
               sentence on my side, and hath also heard my hath blessed me for thy sake.         28  Also he said,
               voyce, and hath giuen mee a sonne: therefore Appoynt vnto me thy wages, and I will giue it
               called shee his name, Dan.  7 And Bilhah Rahels thee.    29  But he sayd vnto him, Thou knowest,
               maide coceiued againe, and bare Iaakob the sec- what seruice I haue done thee, and in what taking
               ond sonne.    8  Then Rahel said, with excellent thy cattell hath bene vnder me.   30  For the litle,
               wrestlings haue I wrestled with my sister, and    that thou haddest before I came, is increased into
               haue gotten the vpper hande: and shee called his a multitude: and the Lord hath blessed thee by
               name, Naphtali.   9  And when Leah saw that she my comming: but nowe when shall I trauell for
               had left bearing, shee tooke Zilpah her mayde, mine owne house also?       31  Then he saide, What
               and gaue her Iaakob to wife.  10 And Zilpah Leahs shall I giue thee? And Iaakob answered, Thou
               mayde bare Iaakob a sonne.   11  Then sayd Leah, shalt giue mee nothing at all: if thou wilt doe this
               A companie commeth: and she called his name, thing for mee, I will returne, feede, and keepe thy
               Gad.  12 Againe Zilpah Leahs mayde bare Iaakob sheepe.    32 I wil passe through all thy flockes this
