Isaiah 5:21                                     507                                     Isaiah 7:8

               21 Woevntothemthatarewiseintheirowneeyes, Seraphims vnto me with an hote cole in his hand,
               and prudent in their owne sight.  22 Wo vnto them which he had taken from the altar with the tongs:
               that are mightie to drinke wine, and to them that  7 And he touched my mouth, and sayd, Loe, this
               are strong to powre in strong drinke:  23  Which hath touched thy lips, and thine iniquitie shall be
               iustifie the wicked for a rewarde, and take away taken away, and thy sinne shalbe purged. Also I

               the righteousnesse of the righteous from him. heard the voyce of the Lord, saying, Whome shall
               24  Therefore as the flame of fire deuoureth the I send? and who shall goe for vs? Then I sayd,
               stubble, and as the chaffe is cosumed of the flame:  Here am I, send me. And he sayd, Goe, and say

               the word of the holy one of Israel.  25 Therefore is  not perceiue.  Make the heart of this people
               the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people,  fatte, make their eares heauie, and shut their

               and hee hath stretched out his hand vpon them,    their eares, and vnderstand with their hearts,
               and hath smitten them that the mountaines did     and conuert, and he heale them.    11  Then sayd
               tremble: and their carkases were torne in the
               middes of the streetes, and for all this his wrath  I, Lord, howe long? And he answered, Vntill
               was not turned away, but his hande was stretched  the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the
               out still.  26  And he will lift vp a signe vnto the  houses without man, and the land be vtterly
               nations a farre, and wil hisse vnto them from     desolate,  12  And the Lord haue remoued men
               the ende of the earth: and beholde, they shall    farre away, and there be a great desolation in the
               come hastily with speede.  27 None shall faint nor  mids of the land.  13 But yet in it shalbe a tenth,
               fall among them: none shall slumber nor sleepe,   and shall returne, and shalbe eaten vp as an elme
               neither shall the girdle of his loynes be loosed,  or an oke, which haue a substance in them, when
                                                                 they cast their leaues: so the holy seede shall be
               nor the latchet of his shooes be broken:  28 Whose
               arrowes shall be sharpe, and all his bowes bent:  the substance thereof.

               shalbe like a lyon, and he shall roare like lyons      And in the dayes of Ahaz, the sonne of
               whelpes: they shall roare, and lay holde of the   Iotham, the sonne of Vzziah king of Iudah, Rezin
               praye: they shall take it away, and none shall    the King of Aram came vp, and Pekah the sonne
               deliuer it.  30 And in that day they shall roare vpon  of Remaliah King of Israel, to Ierusalem to fight

                                                                   Thus sayth the Lord God, It shall not stand,
