The Brian Todd Memorial Community Fund
Supporting the Brighton Community since 2009
The Brian Todd Memorial Community Fund supports community organizations which, through their initiatives
and actions seek to improve health and wellness for Brighton residents, and develop community assets that
enhance recreation, safety, accessibility and the local environment.
Since 2009, The Fund has awarded 135 grants totaling $491,715 to more than 40 community organizations.
Grants have been awarded for park equipment, respite/hospice support, accessibility upgrades, downtown
revitalization, food security programs, medical equipment for local hospitals, and many sports and
recreational programs for all ages.
The Brian Todd Memorial Community Fund has been supporting local charities and
community projects since 2009. Over that time, our Board of Directors has awarded 135
grants totaling $491,715. This newsletter features some –but not all – of the organiza-
tions that have received our support. Because of the COVID-19 situation this year, we
were unable to hold our annual grants presentation event, an event that provides
recipient organizations an opportunity to tell attendees who they are, what they do,
and to speak about the countless volunteers that help them to deliver their services.
The recognition of Brian’s life-long devotion to community service lives on through the Brian Todd Memorial
