Koroni castle

Venetian castle and well-known
castle town on the southwestern tip of

the Peloponnese that existed since

the 7th century AD. century and was
rebuilt and expanded by the

Venetians in the 13th century. In the

following centuries the city flourished,
but it has always been the pinnacle

of contention between the Venetians

and the Turks.
