Doris Fortier (Finlayson/Michano) Family Tree – Pedigree Chart No birth certificate has been found for Doris. Her marriage certificate indicates her year of birth as 1918 but her death certificate has DOB as Nov. 27, 1916. I believe 1918 is more accurate because Agnes gave birth to a boy named Dominique Olivier in May 1816 (died about age 2-3) so it was impossible that Doris was born in the same year. Doris was born before Agnes married Robert Michano Sr in 1921, who adopted her when he and Agnes moved to Coldwell from Heron Bay around 1933. Doris joined them from Longlac where her grandparents, Nick and Jane Finlayson were caring for her. She soon met Ed Fortier and they married in 1936. First born Russell came along in 1938.
