Rex David Thomas (July 2, 1932 – January 8, 2002) was an American
businessman and philanthropist. Thomas was the founder and chief
executive officer of Wendy's, a fast-food restaurant chain specializing
in hamburgers. He is also known for appearing in more than 800
commercial advertisements for the chain from 1989 to 2002, more than
any other company founder in television history. He became an
education advocate and founded the Dave Thomas Education Center
Dave Thomas in Coconut Creek, Florida, which offers GED classes to young adults.

American industrialist and business magnate, founder of the Ford
Motor Company and chief developer of the assembly line technique
of mass production. By creating the first automobile that middle-class
Americans could afford, he converted the automobile from an
expensive curiosity into an accessible conveyance that would
profoundly impact the landscape of the 20th century.
