Shoreham. The second census of The United States (1800); Addison County, VT, shows only Elliot in
Shoreham – his father Martin, brother Jewett and wife are not shown – where were they during this
period? Or is this an oversight? Side note: He is also missing from Shoreham Voter and Tax Roles from
about 1795 or 1796 through 1800 or 1801 (1795 and 1801 records are missing). He reappears in 1802, is
missing again in 1803, and reappears from 1804 – 1806, when he disappears for the last time. He sold his
last piece of property in Shoreham in 1814.
