others have seen photographs of
her. There are several in the

CISCO CLAN portion of this
book.

The photo on the right is of Aunt
Sis, her husband, THOMAS RENFRO, and one of her grand sons, LOWELL
RENFRO, according to what is written on the back of the photo and I do not
remember where I got the photo. [I do not now think that the man on the left is
THOMAS. THOMAS died in 1922 at the age of 79. MISSOURI died in 1942 at the
age of 91. In this photograph MISSOURI looks much the same as she does in other

photos taken at Anson, Texas in the early 1940s. I think it more likely the man on the
left is MISSOURI’s son, Robert Franklin Renfro, who lived in Abilene, Texas with
his son Lowell, allegedly the man on the right in this photo. Lowell was born in 1911
and would have been eleven years old when THOMAS died. The man on the right
identified as Lowell is more than eleven years old.]

Growing up I heard stories about MISSOURI from my mother and other FOYs while
attending FOY reunions at Cisco, TX. I do not remember the exact details of the
stories but do recall all of them claimed MISSOURI and her husband rode the “outlaw
trail”; that they were in a gang of outlaws similar to the old Knothole Gang in New
Mexico and all their children were born on the “outlaw trail”. A little later on I am
