BAGEL GAME
It is an outdoor game that is played in a spacious area. A
circle is drawn or a place is addressed to show home of ‘it’.
In this game one player is designated as ‘it’ and commands
other players how to behave. Other players should obey
these commands in which each of the words has its own
meaning.Other players must obey these commands
immediately and act accordingly.While they are responding
the commands with their actions ‘it’ tries to catch them.
List of Particular Words:
1.İstiklal Marşı (İstiklal March) You must standstill and do not
move.
2.Zımba (Staple) You jump on your foot
3.Penguen yürüyüşü (Penguin walk) You stick your hands to
your body and walk like a penguin.
HOW IT IS PLAYED: The ‘it’ begins the game shouting loudly
as ‘SİMİT’ (BAGEL) as much as he can until he is out of
breath. The game is maintained with particular words listed
above such as İstiklal March, staple or Penguin Walk. Non ‘it’
players should obey these commands.If not, the person
breaking the rules becomes the new ‘it’. While the ‘none it’
players running away and acting what is told to them by ‘it’,
the ‘it’ attemts to catch them. During the game if the ‘it’ is
unable to utter none of these words just because of
breathlessness (Catching the ‘non it’ players and
commanding simultaneously maket he game more
challenging), the game turns at the beginning.
