WORLD CONSERVATION
Requirements:
Carry out these projects as a member of a group of Cub Scouts and
not by yourself. This group could be your Pack, Six or other small group.
1. While you are working on this badge with your group:
(a) Find some examples showing how man has damaged nature and
other examples showing how man has improved nature;
(b) Find examples of where the Country Code is being broken and the
results of this.
2. Take part as a group in two projects, such as:
(a) Clearing a ditch, pond or steam;
(b) Making, setting up and maintaining a bird feeder, bird table, bird
nesting box or bird bath;
(c) Cultivating and maintaining a garden and a compost heap;
(d) Tidying up a piece of wasteland;
(e) An anti-litter campaign;
(f) Plant a tree or shrub.
Note: Other projects may be undertaken as agreed by the Cub Scout
Leader.
