PHOTOGRAPHER

Requirements:
1. Produce twelve (12) photographs taken by yourself. These must include a
minimum of six black and white prints processed and printed by yourself. The
twelve photographs must cover at least four different types of subjects e.g.
landscapes, animals, portraits, action shots.

2. Discuss with the Examiner:
(a) Main features of a camera (i.e. shutter speeds, apertures and lens
focusing and how they are used to ensure technically good results.
(b) The various types of cameras currently available.
(c) The use of accessories such as tripods, exposure metres, filters and
close-up lenses.

3. Describe the process involved in developing and contact printing a black and
white film. Mention briefly the process involved in producing enlarged films.

4. Diagnose faults in exposure and processing in a copy supplied by the Examiner.

5. Demonstrate knowledge of photographs by artificial light (flash or photo-flood) by
arranging equipment provided by yourself or the Examiner for a portrait, still life or
similar subject.
