Hello Mrs. Daniels, Thanks to you and your staff for taking the time out to sit with myself and Mr.
Green to address our concerns. I am thankful for your ELA staff (Mrs. Givens and Mrs. Scott), whom I
am comfortable with, as we move forward with Grace on her path to success. I also wanted to take
this opportunity to let you all know that I, as a concern parent, will continue to do my “do diligent
part” and making sure that I get Grace the outside help she needs as well. Having stated that, I met
with Grace’s tutor, Jennifer Summerlin, Assistant Professor at UAB, on Saturday. I brought her up to
speed on what I figured the plan of action would be based on our conversations on Friday, which is
what you have confirmed today. She indicated that she would like to speak with you and the ELA
team via so that she can bring you all up to speed on where Grace is now so there is no wasted time.
Once I have received a date and time this week I will let you all know.

Again, Thank you all for your valued time and your appreciation does not go unnoticed. I will also pick
my copy of the 504 Plan up today since I will be at the Black History program.
