Isabel Branco I think I saw this chicken make something called 'grits'
once. Is that a thing?

Amy Nott Yes! Yes it is! My son has them for breakfast sometimes. I
had never heard of grits before visiting southern IL. Billnott believes
they are the spawn of the devil, and defiinitely not breakfast food. He
also believes that chicken IS the devil.

exactly is 'grits'? Is it a vegetable?

Amy Nott Grits is some form of corn. Billnott calls it the "Cream of
Wheat" of corn. It is yummy with butter and garlic and cheese. Paula
Deen poops out grits after eating popcorn.

Amy Nott Hmmm, that's a good question. I don't know, except that
polenta is more yellow and hard and sponge-y like. Polenta is not
breakfast food (I think?)

My condo unit has a fire alarm speaker in the living room that's connected to
the building's centralized fire alarm system. It's been going off sporadically
since yesterday, taunting me like a screaming, robotic ceiling-pinata. If my
building's hallways were actually engulfed in flames, they would look a lot like
