Isabel Branco Love Barton Fink references. But what about the fire in Dustin Slease
Miller's Crossing? As good? Better? Worse? If your house is going to
be on fire you should just Albert Finney it.

Hilary Branson Well I don't want it to go all Miller's Crossing on the
entire building, that's just like way too much work for everyone
involved. Plus, I just bought this "professional" S-VHS VCR and it took Bill Tan 29m
me FOREVER to find one like it on eBay.
I am just yelling along with the alarm now. A FIRE HAS BEEN Stacy Herholzer 3h
REPORTED IN THE BUILDING. PLEASE LEAVE THE BUILDING
IMMEDIATELY. BWOOOOOP BWOOOOP BWOOOOP Stacy Garner Welter

Isabel Branco Still something to keep in your back pocket though. The
Finney-ing of it all.

Amy Nott So the alarm actually yells at you that there's a fire in the
building? And it does this randomly? Shouldn't that be fixed, before
there is a REAL fire and everyone's like. "Oh yeah, stupid fire alarm's Adam Riley
broken." Also why would you want a VCR? Is it because you want to
watch THIS on VHS? http://www.ebay.com/.../The-Towering... Alan Reyes

Hilary Branson Even though I can get the Towering Inferno on DVD
for only $0.99, I MUST purchase the VHS version for $14.99, because
my body FEELS analog but it doesn't FEEL the digital, you see.

Isabel Branco Well for one the image quality is completely different

Hilary Branson Agreed. Personally, I like to pull the entire length of
tape out of the VHS cassette thing and then perform interpretive
dances with it for my ferrets. I then proceed to eat it, slowly. SLOWLY.
Don't make the mistake I made once by eating an entire VHS tape in
under an hour.

Amy Nott You would have loved the '70s. I vaguely remember this One
Time where they played some movie...maybe it was Towering Inferno, I
can't quite remember...in simulcast on the TV and on the radio, so you
could get the soundtrack in total stereo sound. So we huddled around
the 10" or whatever screen and were like, "WOW, YOU CAN HEAR IT
ON THE RADIO TOO, OMG OMG OMG" (well actually OMG wasn't
invented yet, but you know).
