13th century, Southern Song Dynasty
The elegantly potted vessel flaring out from a
small mouth rim to broad rounded shoulders
before tapering towards a narrow foot, with
finely turned ribs along the body, all covered
in a luscious pea-green hued glaze. 19cm (7

TWO LONGQUAN CELADON VASES
16th/17th century
The first of meiping form, the well potted
vessel with carved decoration of floral sprays
and leafy meanders; the second of pear-
shaped form, carved to the exterior in low
relief with peony flower heads and a leafy
meander, the waisted neck with a cross-
hatched border below stiff-leaf lappets, both
covered in a thick pea-green glaze.
