WARMING BASIN AND COVER

The lid finely enamelled with a narrative scene,
possibly the departing scene from ‘Romance
of the Western Chamber’, with a bud knop,
the basin with a continuous interior court
scene, all reserved on a fruit, insect and
flowers ground, flanked with loop handles,
with an interior fitted basin.

19th century and later
Comprising: a baluster vase, meiping,
enamelled with an elaborate floral meander,
on a white glazed sgraffiato ground, the base
with an apocryphal Qianlong seal mark; a
small bottle vase with a lady and boy; and a
square bowl with dragons, the base with an
apocryphal Jiaqing seal mark.
The baluster vase: 31cm (12 1/4in) high (3).
