flattened globular bottle carved in low relief
with a peripatetic scholar sage lecturing an
acolyte seated under a pine tree, cleverly
carved to utilise the natural inclusions in
stone, hard stone stopper.

Late Qing Dynasty and later
Comprising: a very narrow baluster-shaped
rock crystal snuff bottle and stopper; a green
hardstone cylindrical bottle with engraved
mock-embossed mask-and-loop handles,
stopper; and an agate silhouette bottle with
inlaid mother-of-pearl decoration of a lady and
boys at play, stopper.
The agate bottle: 6cm (2 3/8in) high (6).
