Yuan Dynasty
Of compressed baluster form rising from a
recessed base, painted in black slip on a
cream ground, with a band of three lozenge-
shaped panels, variously depicting a lotus
spray and scholarly figures in landscape, all
within decorative bands and spiral borders.

Yuan Dynasty
The exterior vigorously painted with
abstracted floral designs over a cream-
coloured slip background, two copper metal
infilled repairs; together with a green lead-
glazed saddle-bag form ewer with incised
lotus decoration and two high-relief figures at
the spout, Probably Liao Dynasty. 21.5cm (8
1/2in) high (2).
