A circa 1895-1900 lotus-shaped and segmented lobed bowl that carries the combined silver marks of the retail
silversmith Wang Hing, and that of Huang Qiu Ji. The applied champlevé enamel chrysanthemum motif looks
particularly dramatic against the finely planished ground.

Wang Hing always exerted close control over the design and style of any item entering their inventory and one
can see from this particular piece detailing that distinguishes it from items Huang Qiu Ji made for Wo Shing and
            Poh Sing.
This bowl is punchbowl size. The
            individual decorative segments of the
            bowl carry different motifs, including
orchid, peony, iris, prunus with bird and
            bamboo.

            The bowl weighs almost 1000gm.

The Wang Hing and Huang Qui Ji partnership was obviously a successful one, with a significant number of
varied objects already recorded with their combined silver marks.
