Page 877 - Chinese SIlver By Adrien Von Ferscht
P. 877
A high quality Wo Sing Lun tea service
and matching tray, circa late 1920s.
The tray, in particular, is made of
extremely heavy gauge silver - all
pieces have a finely planished semi-
matt planished ground with applied
high relief dragons.
Although in form it follows a general
design that was prevalent among
many Chinese silversmiths, the tray
renders the set quite different.
The engraved dragon swirling around the accompanying tray is set off by the raised border with applied high
relief dragons.
