One seal is incised to the top with the signature reading ࣇᙔ厍Ṣ⽯厎㚒᪪厍ཉӬ
‘Guancheng’, the pseudonym of of Zhu Zunyi, above the seal face
បཉӬ卻 卼卿ࣽल㏘Ꮀ卿ໃὍ⊧卿໫ᇯᱱ⥂՞ǯ
reading ‘Huang Zhi yinxin’. The other seal also bears a signature
on the top, reading ‘Zunyi’, and the seal face reading ‘Bin Hong’. ᝪ֌Ƕ໫ᇯⰄ౗Ƿ▘⤔㖩ǯᇌ⨶ᝧᯧᛞ卿ࣽᇑ㿩㏹⽯ࣿॕᚸ

The two seals were made for Huang Binhong (1864-1955) by কḼಳⶬ♑ǯ
the renowned calligrapher and seal carver Zhu Zunyi (1891-
1971), who was active in the cultural circles in Shanghai. ⮐㙽
ӳᱡࢷ⁒㱦⤔卿Ƕԋஇᝧ⊺།ࣇ㦷᪪㍃Ƿ卿Ӵݺ卿ӳᱡ卿
Huang Binhong, a painter, one of Zhu’s contemporaries, is
considered to be one of the last innovators of the literati style ჺ卿㮰 卿✄ ࣿ
of painting. His landscapes emphasised form-likeness and 㜇ᚺ卿Ƕ㘆→ջल།ᝧ⊺৅㦶Ƿ卿ӳᱡ卿 ჺ卿㮰
creative innovation through the sincere study of nature and Ղ㙄Ꮀ⤔卿Ƕ㘆⎋ჺᝧ⊺ल՞ࣇ㦷Ƿ卿࢈՗卿 ჺ卿㮰
