                       By Okamoto Ryozan, Meiji Period
        290            With shaped, lobed rim, decorated with a
120 | BONHAMS          central panel depicting Kannon, seated upon
                       a throne, flanked by female attendants, some
                       with auspicious emblems, all dressed in
                       elaborate robes, in an interior and amongst
                       wispy clouds, within a border of shaped
                       panels of bats, floral and geometric designs,
                       the underside inscribed Dai Nippon Kyoto
                       Toujiki Goushi Gaisha Ryozan no Shirushi,
                       also bearing the Yasuda Company mark and
                       Satsuma mon.
                       37.5cm (14.3/4in) x 28.5cm (11.1/4in).

                       A PAIR OF WOOD GUARDIAN DOGS,
                       KOMA-INU
                       Edo Period
                       Carved and joined from separate large blocks
                       of wood, each seated on its haunches, one
                       with the head slightly lowered and mouth
                       closed exposing the fangs, the other horned
                       beast with the mouth slightly open and
                       tongue protruding, both with deeply carved
                       coiled manes and tails.

                       A LARGE WOOD OKIMONO OF HOTEI
                       Meiji Period or later
                       The corpulent God of Contentment and
                       Happiness clad in long robes, wearing a
                       suitably joyful expression on his face, seated
                       at ease against a large cloth sack, with four
                       small boys clambering on him, the base with
                       a two line inscription.
