                     The pear-shaped body flanked by taotie mask
                     and ring handles, the middle of the body and
                     neck encircled with a band decorated in silver
                     and gilt with archaistic scrolling and geometric
                     designs, the body of a dark chocolate-brown
                     patina.

                     STYLE WINE VESSEL, HU
                     Ming Dynasty
                     The pear shaped vessel flanked with two loop
                     handles, the body and neck encircled with
                     bands of entwined taotie masks, all raised on
                     a short foot rim; together with a green-glazed
                     oviform jar with a short rolled mouth rim, Han
                     Dynasty, and a Longquan celadon-glazed
                     tripod incense burner, 16th/17th century.
