GROUND FAMILLE ROSE VASES
The porcelain 18th century, the mounts 19th
century, probably French
Each of the baluster vessels decorated on
the black ground with moulded and applied
enamelled designs of squirrels amongst
flowering chrysanthemums, fruiting spray of
peaches and grape vines, all above the pink
hatched pattern band at the foot, the mouth
and rim with a foliate, one-handled, spouted
gilt-metal mount.
Each 35cm (13¾in) high including the mounts
(2).

FAMILLE ROSE VASES
19th century
With gilt twin dragon handles, painted, gilt
and inscribed with panels depicting heroic
characters from the ‘Wu shuang pu’, the
shoulders with everted foliated rims at
the shoulders, the celadon ground bodies
reserved with birds and butterflies amongst
trailing, leafy peony and chrysanthemum
sprays.
With the ormolu bases 73cm (28.3/4in) high
in total. (2).
