Each flattened vase elaborately enamelled
with rococo cartouches enclosing scenes of
courtiers and attendants, all reserved on a
coral red and gilt trellis diaper ground, flanked
with two stylised chilong handles, the lid
similarly decorated and with a Buddhist lion
finial.
