Qianlong
With seated Buddhist lion finial and twin
hare mask handles, painted and gilt with
peacocks in gardens of flowering peonies,
chrysanthemums and bamboo, amongst blue
pierced rockwork, within floral and geometric
pattern borders.
The stand 14cm (16.1/8in) diam. (3).

COVER AND STAND,
Qianlong, circa 1765
Decorated with the Arms of Rodes quartering
Heathcote, the tureen with twin hare’s head
handles, the cover with a large flowerspray
finial, the arms on grounds of scattered flower
sprays, within spearhead pattern borders.
