Finely woven in pastel colours and gilt thread with six gilt, horned Each of the narrow rectangular textiles finely and brightly embroidered
five-clawed dragons on a blue ground with a ruyi-lozenge pattern on the yellow ground with a central rectangular medallion of archaistic
alternately enclosing wan symbols and crab-apple flowerheads, chilong motifs, all above a sinuous five-clawed dragon emerging
interspersed with bats, cranes, gilt ‘shou’ roundels and bajixiang, from tumultuous waves clutching a flaming pearl, and below a further
all above a tumultuous wave border, the centre with a single dragon scaly dragon coiled amidst billowing clouds beside a flaming pearl, all
framed by a decorative border, all re-cut and mounted as a rectangular surmounted by a gold thread ‘shou’ medallion.
