A BLUE AND WHITE BOTTLE VASE
Daoguang seal mark and of the period
The tapering cylindrical body with ten slightly lobed
vertical panels, painted with simulated ‘heaping and
piling’, each enclosing stylised flower blooms borne
on leafy stems and ruyi head corners, between two
continuous bands of floral scrolls, all below pendent
lappets at the shoulder and further floral sprigs
at the neck, with a later European pewter cover.
24.5cm (9 5/8in) high (2).
