A LONGQUAN CELADON GLAZED FUNERARY JAR AND COVER
NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY
北宋 龍泉青釉塑龍紋蓋罐
The exterior of the vessel is incised with stylised leaves, rising to the neck
which is decorated with a moulded dragon chasing a small dog and a bird. The
cover is surmounted by a bird fnial. Both the jar and cover are covered in a rich
olive-green glaze.
