QIANLONG INCISED FIVE-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
清乾隆 掐絲琺瑯纏枝蓮紋小瓶
「乾隆年製」、「量」楷書刻款
The vase has a globular body rising to a long neck, supported on a short faring foot. The
exterior is decorated with stylised lotus fowers on leafy vines, set between ruyi-borders. The
base is carved with a Qianlong mark, followed by the character ‘liang’.

The sceptre is of typical curved form inset with three white jade plaques. The largest plaque
is carved with a caparisoned elephant, the central plaque has a double vase with da ji
characters and the smallest plaque has double fsh beside a swastika (wan) symbol.
