QIANLONG INCISED SEVEN-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE
PERIOD (1736-1795)

清乾隆 掐絲琺瑯纏枝花卉紋三足爐
「大清乾隆年製」「遇」款

The censer is decorated to the shoulder with four cartouches enclosing fower
heads borne on leafy scrolling foliage, reserved on a blue ground, between
two gilt bands. The remainder of the body and base are decorated with a
continuous elaborate foral scroll on a turquoise ground. The reign mark is
incised in one line within a gilt square to the base, followed by the character yu
for ‘opportunity’.

明十六/十七世紀 掐絲琺瑯獸耳活環小方瓶

The square vase is of tall slender form with a short waisted neck and twin
lion-mask and loose-ring handles. Each side is decorated with a dragon on
turquoise grounds.
